Saleman Pete WIP
So my newest fan art is underway. I've reworked the comp so many times but I finally found one I'm happy with. This is going to take me a looooooong time. But now that I have the time to dedicate I have been so happy with my recent work. The sketch and color so far has been at least 10 hrs cause I am slow and experimenting. Please enjoy and check back for the final.
For those of you, I'll assume most, who don't know Salesman Pete here you go.Freaking amazing.

My NEW new desktop
Man I am on a fan art roll!!! It's probably all this unemployment that's giving me the time to actually spend on the pieces I've had in my head for awhile. I was really excited about this one so I did it today in one sitting O_O probably took me about 10-12 hours from sketch to completion. Phew! I need to work on my speed.Hope you enjoy this, it should bring back memories to any of you 90's kids out there.

The update
Fan art time
So I've been trying to find a good The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack wallpaper for months now and I couldn't find anything I liked. So I decided to create my own :) Hope you all enjoy.
After seeing it on my computer I felt the composition just wasn't working...Bubbie and Flapjack are both facing in the same direction, there's no overlap, and it is too symmetrical. Here's a quick edit I did but it's too late now so tomorrow I will fix it and re-post. And maybe add Captain K'nuckles....

Apartment partaaaaaay
Just had out apartment warming party tonight. It was a blast! Looooong day of cooking/cleaning but Linda and I always enjoy hosting parties :)
Now please enjoy some tasty photos of the food I cooked for the party:)
Now please enjoy some tasty photos of the food I cooked for the party:)
Spinach and artichoke dip, with parmesan, mozzarella, and cream cheeses.
My friend SillySylvie is from Cincinnati and brought over some Skyline chili so we turned it into a pizza. Nom, nom.
Spaghetti with home made white wine sauce along with some home made meatballs rolled by hand with love :).
French bread with garlic, olive oil, buffalo mozzarella, tomato, fresh basil, and prosciutto. These went FAST!The missing dishes not shown because we were too busy eating were two more pizzas. One was a simple mushroom and cheese for my friend Alex. The second was a margarita pizza cause it's my fav :). Sauce was home made but I was too busy to make my own dough again. Next time peeps!

Henri Toulouse Lautrec & Burlesque dancers
Last night Linda, Sarah, and I went to the Henri Toulouse Lautrec exhibit at the High Art museum.
We showed up on a beautiful foggy night
When we first arrived there was about an hour until the burlesque show so we checked out this...interesting band. To me it was literally just noise, screaming, and feedback but hey some people are into that.
The whole Museum was themed vintage french for the event. Here's Linda and Sarah sitting down in the lounge next to the concert stage.
The burlesque show was okay. I am too short and people wouldn't let me to the front to take pictures so this one was blind as I held my camera over my head. hahah.
After the show there was a 45min clothed figure drawing session. I actually preferred this more even though my drawings didn't come out very good.

Finally the main event! They had these "actors" walking around themed that would interact with you. Here are some photos of the girls and the accordion guy. :)
It was so cool to see these pieces in person, I'm totally psyched Sarah clued us into this event.
And my kick!
Ciao people.

I'm free!
Free of overbearing workloads, stressful meetings, impossible deadlines, incompetence, depression, and hypertension. I did sacrifice a shitty salary but it's been worth it! My mental and physical health is much more important than a paycheck; for now at least :)Here are some photos of my last day of work celebration. We went to Top Flr in downtown ATL. They have THE best macaroni ever! i know it sounds silly but seriously that shit is AMAZING!
Here's the whole gang hanging outside after we ate. Jim is mysteriously missing i think he's one of the blurs walking in the back.
During my time in between work and school I am going to spoil myself and actually enjoy life with my wife :) I've turned my portfolio into SCAD and I'm waiting to see how much money I can get. I am also going to to take this time to continue life drawing, from life drawing, and begin teaching myself Maya!
